Kathmandu, April 28
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has launched the country’s first integrated statistics portal.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the portal, nationaldata.gov.np, amidst a full meeting of the National Planning Commission today.
The CBS is the NPC’s subordinate body.
The portal features data processed on the basis of geography of federal, provincial and local levels, nature, potentials and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Speaking at programme, CBS Director General Suman Aryal said the portal based on the principle of open data was expected to ensure people’s access to data concerning multiple fields including the national geography, nature, resources, potentials and SDGs.
The bodies concerned would update data on the portal as per the need.
Meanwhile, the meeting is scheduled to finalise a concept paper of the draft of upcoming 15th periodic plan.
