Kathmandu, November 3

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has decided to suspend two pilots who engaged in a physical altercation at Manthali Airport in Ramechhap.

According to CAAN, the licenses of Captain Santosh Shah and Sanjeev Shrestha of Tara Air have been suspended. The authority has indicated that a thorough investigation will be carried out, and appropriate action will be taken accordingly.

On Friday morning, a scuffle occurred between the pilot who had landed the plane at Manthali Airport from Lukla, shortly after leaving the aircraft.

Tara Air spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula said the altercation between the two pilots stemmed from personal issues, and further details are still pending.

“It doesn’t seem to be a dispute related to the company. There may be some personal reasons involved,” said Barteula
