Both Houses of Parliament endorse work procedures

Kathmandu, March 5

The House of Representatives has unanimously endorsed the ‘Interim Rules of Procedures-2018’.

During the first meeting of the lower House of the federal Parliament, senior-most member Mahantha Thakur tabled a motion seeking endorsement of the procedures.

The endorsement was made through a voice vote.

The interim work procedure is required to run the daily proceedings of the House until the parliamentary rules of procedures are framed.

The meeting has also nominated parliamentarians Khagaraj Adhikari, Man Bahadur BK, Purna Kumari Subedi, Laxman Lal Karna and Uma Shanker Argariya to chair the meeting in absence of the Speaker.

The meeting of the lower House will resume at 11.00 am on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the upper House has also endorsed its interim working procedure.
