Kathmandu, September 9
A bomb hoax left Kathmandu in terror for around one hour around noon on Thursday when the country was celebrating Teej, one of the biggest festivals for women here.
Police were informed that there was a suspicious object inside a toilet on the third floor of the Matrika Eye Hospital, Purano Baneshwar of Kathmandu. Subsequently, the area was cordoned off and a Nepal Army bomb disposal team was called.
However, it was found to be a hoax, informs SSP Ashok Singh, the chief of the Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu.
“An old mobile phone set was connected with a wire and a timer was fixed there,” he says.
