Kathmandu, May 4

A hoax bomb call has obstructed domestic flights at the Kathmandu airport for over an hour on Wednesday morning, terrorising passengers there.

Officials at the airport say someone called the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning, claiming there were at least five bombs planted at the domestic terminal. But, a search involving security officials found nothing suspicious, according to the airport chief Prem Nath Thakur.

All the passengers gathered at the airport were evacuated from the terminal during the search, fearing an explosion.

The call, however, did not affect any international flights.
