Biplav wants to kill me first, but I take pity on him: Dahal

Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Kathmandu, March 14

Ruling Nepal Communist Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says he takes pity on Netra Bikram Chand ‘Bipalv’, the chief of the party whose activities have recently been banned by the government.

The former prime minister claims that Biplav’s party has recently decided that Dahal should be the first person to be killed by the party; but still he feels sorry about them.

“I got informed just this morning that they have decided to kill me first. They have already mobilised a team against me,” he said, “But, do you think the recent changes can be saved by killing me?”

“I take pity on those comrades. I feel sorry about them.”

This is Dahal’s first public statement about the splinter Maoist group after the government imposed the ban. Dahal, however, did not say anything about the ban categorically.
