Kathmandu, May 14
A voting centre in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur district received ballot papers from Nawalparasi district, creating a confusion among election staff and voters for some minutes.
All the ballot papers sent to the centre at erstwhile Nagarkot VDC office did not have the symbol of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, which has a strong influence in the district.
The error was noticed after 22 voters already cast their votes, according to local NWPP leader Kumar Thing.
Meanwhile, the NWPP has demanded an investigation into the case.
