Beni-Jomsom road to be closed for 4 days for upgrading

The Beni-Jomsom road section connecting Mustang via the northern part of Myagdi would be closed for four days.

According to the Mustang District Administration Office, the 76-km road road under the national pride project–Kaligandaki Corridor – would be closed from Saturday to next Tuesday (March 27-30).

Issuing a notice on Monday, Assistant Chief District Officer Jagadish Aryal shared that the vehicular movement would be stopped along the road for four days as per the decision of the District Security Committee for the upgrading and construction of the road.

The road is being upgraded in four packages. It started in 2018 with an investment of around Rs 6 billion.

Meanwhile, the 110-kilometre Jomsom-Korala road is being gravelled.
