Defending champions Nepal have suffered a 2-0 defeat in their first match of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup tournament played at the Sylhet Jilla stadium in Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Tajikistan scored their first goal in the 27th minute through a spot kick. The central Asian side doubled the lead in the 72nd minute.
Pitted in Group ‘A’ alongside Palestine and Tajikistan, Nepal play Palestine next on October 5.
