Hetaunda, February 28
Bagmati Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel has said the provincial government is facing various problems in carrying out its works for the dearth of employees.
Addressing a workshop seminar on Provincial Public Service Commission here on Thursday, CM Paudel said other provincial governments were also facing the problems to carry out their functions as the federal government had not brought the Civil Service Act.
He suggested that all the seven provincial governments should formulate a uniform State Civil Service Act after consultations. The chief minister also stated that nobody had so far raised questions over the workings of the Public Service Commission when the functioning of several other institutions was under criticism. “The Provincial Civil Service Commission should keep intact this credibility and dignity of the PSC,” he added.
Similarly, the Provincial Assembly Speaker, Sanu Kumar Shrestha, said the provincial commission should select employees who were up-to-date with the technology and workings of the modern age.
