Singer and songwriter Ankita Pun released her debut album Maili on Tuesday (July 25) in Moksh Restaurant, Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur. Similarly, the cover art of the album was also unveiled at the event.
At the launch, Pun announced she is embarking on her first musical tour in the second week of August.
According to Purbanchal Rocks, organiser of the tour, the tour will kick off from Darjeeling and Sikkim. She also has shows lined up in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Dang, Itahari and Birtamod.
After completing the tour in Nepal, Pun will also be performing in different cities in Australia.
Speaking at the event Pun said that she is excited and nervous for her first musical tour. The album Maili includes seven songs. Some of them are Maili, Char Din Char Juni, Sakhi, and Aadhar.
“Similar to my earlier songs, my upcoming songs will also feature my various experiences. Those songs are the results of my emotional journey,” says Pun.
