All CMs in Kathmandu to plan strategies against coronavirus spread

Kathmandu, March 15

The federal government has called chief ministers of all the seven provinces to Kathmandu to discuss and prepare a joint plan against the potential spread of novel coronavirus infection in Kathmandu.

Social development ministers of all the provinces are also accompanying the chief ministers.

Province 1 CM Sher Dhan Rai says the federal government has invited them to a meeting of the high-level coronavirus control committee led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel. The meeting has been scheduled for 1 pm today.

During the meeting, the federal government will ask the chief ministers and social development ministers to review the works they have done to prevent the spread and next steps. Likewise, the federal government will let them know about the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Health.
