Three persons died in a landslide in the Achham district in the wee hours of Monday.
Chief District Officer Bishwa Raj Marasini says Hari Kala Bista, Birendra Bista and Sambidhan Bista died after their house located in Bhulu, Turmakhand rural municipality-2 of the Achham district was buried by the landslide at around 1 am today.
Another family member, Naina Bista (65), is injured in the accident, and she is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, according to Marasini.
Some cattle have also died.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed authorities to leave no stone unturned in post-disaster rescue and relief efforts.
He telephoned CDO Marasini and District Police Office Chief DSP Narayan Dangi and directed them for an efficient response, according to the minister’s secretariat.
