ACC Emerging Teams Cup: Nepal lose to Bangladesh by eight wickets

The hosts Bangladesh easily defeated Nepal by a wide margin in their match played under the ACC Emerging Teams Cup on Monday. Nepal lost to Bangladesh by eight wickets.

Batting first after losing the toss, Nepal had posted a meagre 139-run target to Bangladesh, which the opponents achieved in just 24 overs by losing only two wickets.

Karan KC and Susan Bhari took one wicket each from Bangladesh. For the victors, Nazmul Hossain Shanto scored 59 runs not out whereas Mohammad Naim Sheikh scored 45.

In the first innings, Nepal scored 138 runs in 44.3 overs when they lost all the wickets. For Nepal, Sompal Kami scored the highest of 38 runs.
