Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed grief over the impact of the flood in Gorkha’s Budhigandaki River.
In a social media post, Deuba said he was saddened by news of the flood’s effect on settlements along the riverbank.
“I request all citizens living in the riverside areas of the Budhigandaki and Trishuli rivers to stay in safe places with utmost caution,” he wrote.
Deuba, who is also a former president of the Nepali Congress, further asked party ranks to take part in rescue and relief in the flood-affected areas during this time of disaster.
