The Parliamentary Hearing Committee under the federal parliament has moved forward with the parliamentary hearing process for the proposed ambassadors.
At a committee meeting held Thursday at Singha Durbar, the process for the parliamentary hearing of ambassadors nominated by the government for 13 countries was advanced.
Committee Chair Bodh Narayan Shrestha said a 10-day window has been announced for submitting complaints related to the nominees being considered for the hearing.
He said the committee is making public the names of the nominated individuals received for the hearing, and that anyone with information or complaints regarding a nominee can submit them, with clear grounds, electronically or through any other means, within 10 days from the date the notice is published.
The Cabinet meeting held last Friday had recommended ambassadors for 13 countries, including India and China.
