Kathmandu, September 7
A telephone conversation has taken place between Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to information provided by the RSP, during the phone call, US Secretary of State Rubio expressed deep condolences for those who lost their lives in the Bhotekoshi flood and conveyed America’s solidarity with the government and people of Nepal.
In response, Chairman Lamichhane informed him that the Government of Nepal is mobilising all available resources for post-disaster search, rescue, and relief operations.
He assured the US Secretary of State that Nepal remains equally committed to the safety of Nepali citizens as well as all foreign nationals residing in Nepal.
Lamichhane thanked the US government for the assistance provided during this difficult time.
During the telephone conversation, US Secretary of State Rubio expressed America’s commitment that it stands ready, at this hour of disaster, to provide further assistance to the Government of Nepal.
