Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has visited flood-affected areas. He reached Bidur Municipality in flood-hit Nuwakot on Monday.
A resident of Bidur Municipality-3 complained to Thapa that rescue efforts for people who went missing or lost contact with their families during the floods were being delayed.
The resident said his relatives had gone missing in the floods, while some were reportedly trapped inside a tunnel.
Thapa visited Trishuli Hospital, a holding centre, Trishuli Bazaar, areas across the river from Devighat, Radbhumeshwori, the powerhouse and Tupche, where he listened to the concerns of flood victims.
