A total of 706 people who were stranded by the floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa have been rescued, including 40 foreign nationals.
They were rescued by Nepali Army helicopters. As of 3 pm on Friday, 706 people had been rescued from areas including Timure, Syafrubesi and Mailung. The rescued included 40 foreign nationals—29 Indians, four Germans, four Chinese nationals, one Omani and two South Koreans.
More than 4,500 Nepali Army personnel have been deployed to flood-affected districts for rescue and relief operations.
