489 bodies recovered from Rasuwa flood, 393 still unidentified

Kathmandu, August 28

The flood that swept down the Bhotekoshi and into the Trishuli River on Wednesday has caused massive loss of life and property. Nepal Police say 489 bodies have been recovered so far.

Of these, 393 have not yet been identified.

Bodies have been found in Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Chitwan, Tanahun, Gorkha, and Nawalparasi’s Bardaghat Susta East and West Nawalparasi districts.

Along with the districts where the bodies were found, they have also been kept in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Palpa, Rupandehi, and Kapilvastu.
