
Kathmandu, April 12
Leaders of four political parties have been placed in the same parliamentary committee.
Last Friday, the House of Representatives formed 10 thematic committees and two joint committees, assigning members accordingly. In that process, top leaders of major parties were placed in the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, which has 26 members.
The committee includes Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party; Pushpa Kamal Dahal, chairperson and parliamentary party leader of the Communist Party of Nepal; Harkaraj Rai, chairperson of the Shram Sanskriti Party; and Gyan Bahadur Shahi, chairperson and parliamentary party leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
Lamichhane and Dahal had also served on the same committee during the tenure of the dissolved House of Representatives.
Other members of the committee include Afsana Banu, Amaresh Kumar Singh, Arjun Narsingh KC, Kamal Subedi, Karisma Kathariya, Kabindra Burlakoti, Gajala Shamim Mikrani, Ganesh Karki, Nishkal Rai, Padma Kumari Aryal, and Purushottam Suprabhat Yadav.
Additionally, Bishwo Raj Pokharel, Bhishmaraj Aangdembe, Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rai, Yuvraj Dulal, Ramesh Prasai, Rabindra Patel, Ram Lama, Rubina Acharya, Rekha Kumari Yadav, Bishnumaya BK, Shraddha Kuwar Kshetri, and Hari Dhakal are also members of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.
