Kathmandu, February 12
Nepal will take on fellow Associate nation Italy today in its second group-stage match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
The Group C encounter between Nepal and Italy will begin at 3:15 p.m. at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
Both teams suffered defeats in their opening matches. Nepal lost to England, while Italy was beaten by Scotland. Each side will be seeking its first win of the tournament today.
Nepal and Italy are set to face each other in a different format 13 years after their previous meeting. The two teams last played in the ICC Division 3 tournament in 2013, though that was a 50-over match.
Today’s match will mark their first-ever T20 International clash. As Nepal faces Italy after 13 years, it will also be searching for its first World Cup victory in 12 years.
Nepal has not won a World Cup match since defeating Afghanistan in 2014.
In Group C, the West Indies have won both of their matches so far and sit at the top with four points. England and Scotland have each collected two points from two games.
