Kathmandu’s minimum temperature near 2°C, Jumla records the lowest

Cold conditions have intensified on the final day of the month of Poush as temperatures continue to drop. The temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has fallen to around 2 degrees Celsius today.

The minimum temperature, which dropped to 3 degrees Celsius at 6:27 am, further declined to 2.3 degrees Celsius by 8:45 am.

Today’s temperature is lower than that recorded on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Kathmandu’s minimum temperature at the same time on Tuesday was 2.8 degrees Celsius.

At 8:45 am, the maximum temperature in Kathmandu was measured at 17.2 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature today was recorded in Jumla at minus 5.9 degrees Celsius. The division reported that the highest temperature of 9 degrees Celsius was recorded in Janakpur and Chandragadhi.

Meanwhile, fog and mist have been observed in some parts of the Tarai today.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division stated that partly cloudy conditions are expected in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will remain mainly clear.
