Three persons died in a boat capsize that occurred at Ghol in the Narayani river in Susta of Nawalparasi district on Monday.
The boat ferrying the youth returning home after a picnic had capsized in Susta rural municipality-4, according to the chief of police in the district, Rishiram Kandel.
The dead ones were Guddu Harijan (22), Niraj Harijan (18), and Ranjit Gupta (18) from Suta-4.
Two others onboard were injured. They are Kishor Harijan and Sohit Sahani.
They have been taken to Bhairahawa for treatment.
Police have initiated an investigation into the boat capsize incident.
