Kathmandu, May 18
The newborn of the woman who died of Covid-19 last week has tested negative for the virus. Likewise, four other family members also tested negative.
After the confirmation that the 29-year-old woman in Sindhupalchok died of the coronavirus infection, the Dhulikhel Hospital had carried out tests of others.
The hospital’s Dr Suman Raj Tamrakar says the test reports today confirmed that the victim’s family members including the child and the victim’s husband were not infected.
The new mother’s death has been recorded as the first Covid-19 death of the country.
