Following the controversy involving an alleged deal between the Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Bastoka and a Swiss company agent, the Embassy of Switzerland in Kathmandu has clarified that the embassy is not involved in it.
The embassy in a statement clarifies that it is unaware of the deal and the person mentioned as a Swiss company agent.
The statement reads, “The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal wishes to make clear that no meeting has been requested by this Embassy, nor is any meeting foreseen with the Minister of Information and Communication in the near future on the topic mentioned in the article. The Embassy is neither aware nor involved in any dealings of the person quoted in the article as local agent of a Swiss company.”
