Two Indians die on Everest and Makalu

Kathmandu, May 17

Two Indian climbers have died on their way back from the summit of Mount Everest and Mount Makalu on Thursday.

Expedition organiser Mingma Sherpa, Chairman at Seven Summit Treks Pvt. Ltd., confirmed that Narayan Singh, a member of the Indian Army expedition died at around 8,200 metre height while descending from the summit of Mount Makalu on Thursday night.

Sherpa said that Singh who wasn’t feeling well died due to high altitude sickness.

Another Indian climber Ravi Thakar who had summited Mount Everest on Thursday was found dead in his tent at Camp IV on Thursday.

Two other Indians had died on Mount Kanchenjunga on Wednesday.
