Janakpurdham, April 3
The Province 2 government on Wednesday announced that it would build a four-room house to each family affected by the disastrous storm in Bara and Parsa districts on Sunday. The house will also include a toilet.
Addressing a meeting of the Provincial Assembly in Janakpurdham today, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Gyanendra Yadav, said the houses would be built within next four months.
He asserted that the provincial government would work in coordination with the federal government.
Yadav said total 1040 houses including 958 in Para and 122 in Parsa districts were completely damaged. The number of houses resisting partial damages is 1309.
Claiming that his government was serious about the painful life that the affected families were living, he said the survivors would be kept in tents within next few days.
Meanwhile, the Assembly endorsed a condolence motion on the death of locals in the storm on Wednesday.
