Dhangadhi, February 14
Police have arrested two persons carrying 18 kg gold from Punarbas of Kanchanpur district. The names of the persons haven’t been made public by the police.
According to Kailali District Police Office Chief, SP Abhushan Timilsina, personnel from Kailali and Kanchanpur district police offices, Metropolitan Police Crime Division and Central Investigation Bureau arrested the two with the gold at a place close to Nepal-India border.
The gold and the arrested persons have been taken to the District Police Office, Kailali.
Police, after their preliminary investigation, believe that the gold might have been stolen from New Delhi.
