Sindhupalchok, April 9
At least three persons died when a jeep fell off the road in Melamchi of Sindhupalchok district on Monday morning.
The four-wheeler (Ba 18 Cha 4699) was heading towards Ratamate from Melamchi carrying cement when it fell around 350 metres down the road at Jhilke Mode in Jyamire, Melamchi Municipality-9.
The victims have been identified as Suresh Tamang (35), Moti Adhikari (42) and Kamal Syangbo (12) from Jyamire.
SI Shree Ram KC of the nearby Area Police Post says the accident occurred after the driver could not put on his brake.
Meanwhile, a person died when a bus heading to Timbu from Helambu fell off the road at around 10:30 pm yesterday.
