Kathmandu, December 22
The Ministry of General Administration is planning to send around 3,000 staff to ministries of seven provinces as the federal units begin preparations to form their own governments.
The Ministry’s spokesperson Shiva Ram Neupane says the staff will be deployed under the interim management scheme. The final model of staff mobilisation will be finalised after a detailed study.
The number of ministries in provincial governments, however, is not specified yet. It is expected that the next Cabinet meeting will decide the number of ministries in each province. The staff will go to the assigned workplaces immediately after that, according to the Ministry.
The Ministry has already begun collecting details about the number of staff currently working under all ministries. If the ministries do not respond to the call for updates on time, the Ministry says it will find records on its own and plan the mobilisation.
Likewise, the candidates recently recommended by the Public Service Commission can also be mobilised at the provincial level, according to the Ministry.
