Prince Harry to visit Nepal from March 20 to 23

  • During his first trip to Nepal, Prince Harry will meet earthquake victims
  • His itinerary also includes a visit to the British Gurkha camp in Pokhara, where he will meet quake-hit retired Gurkha soldiers
  • The fifth in line to the British throne will also visit one of Nepal’s national parks

Kathmandu, February 25

Prince Harry is visiting Nepal on March 20-23, the Kensington Palace announced on Thursday. This will be Harry’s first visit to Nepal.

Earlier news reports had stated that Prince Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, will visit Nepal this year.

During his visit, the British royal will call on President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, meet earthquake victims and acquire information about their situation.

He will also visit the British Gurkha camp in Pokhara where he will inquire about the situation of quake-affected retired Gurkha soldiers. Harry will also visit a national park and go trekking.

The palace said Prince Harry is keen to enjoy the country’s stunning natural beauty and will visit one of Nepal’s National Parks.
