259 landless families receive land ownership certificates in Chitwan

The Land Problem Settlement Commission’s district committee has distributed land ownership certificates to 259 landless Dalit families, squatters, and unmanaged settlers in Chitwan.

According to Commission Chair Iman Singh Moktan, 130 families from Ratnanagar Municipality and 129 from Bharatpur Metropolitan City received certificates.

Of the 51,000 applications submitted, certificates for 150 families have already been prepared. The commission aims to issue certificates to 400 families by the end of Asoj (October 17), Moktan said, adding that the process is being carried out in coordination with local governments.
