OnePlus launched its OnePlus 12 series in Nepal along with the budget option, the OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G. The OnePlus 12 series launched includes the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R. The Nord series from OnePlus is quite popular in the budget and midrange segment.

The Nord N30 SE 5G is the successor of the OnePlus Nord N20 SE. The budget offering has a new refreshed design, chipset and speakers. OnePlus’s Nord N30 will compete with the Samsung Galaxy A05s, Redmi Note 12 4G, Realme Narzo N55 and Vivo Y27s. OnePlus offers a 5G network which is not available in other smartphones of the same price segment.

Design and Display

The design of the OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G is slightly changed from its predecessor. It features two colours, Cyan Sparkle and Black Satin. The Cyan Sparkle has a shiny dual-tone colour finish whereas the Black Satin has a glossy matte finish on the back. The back and the frame are made up of plastic. The frame is flat with rounded edges and a shiny finish. The camera module is similar to the other OnePlus Nord smartphones with a slight camera bump.

On the front, the Nord N30 SE 5G has a centred hole-punch cutout camera which houses the selfie camera. The bezels are thin on the sides, slightly thicker on the top, and even thicker on the chin. It has a large 6.72-inch screen with IPS LCD panel technology. It has decent vibrant colours and sharp details with its FHD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 and 391 pixels per inch. The screen-to-body ratio of 91.4 per cent maximises the viewing experience. It also has features such as sunshine screen, dark mode, eye comfort, touch screen type and DC Dimming mode.

Performance and Storage

The OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 built on a 7nm architecture. Its octa-core CPU combines Cortex-A76 cores with energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores, providing a balance of performance and battery life. The chipsets are paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU to handle graphics performance. It runs on OxygenOS 13.1, based on Android 13 operating system.

The Nord N30 SE 5G is available in one memory option comprising 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

Camera

The OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G features a dual camera setup at the back. Its main rear camera is a 50MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 with autofocus support by an open-loop motor. The depth camera enhances portrait shots with its 2MP sensor, adding a bokeh effect to the photos. It also has 10x digital zoom support. The rear camera can record 1080p and 720p videos at 30fps. It can also record slow-motion videos at 120fps and time-lapse videos at 1080p at 30fps.

On the front, the 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a wide field of view of 80° delivers decent selfies. The front camera can record 1080p and 720p videos at 30fps.

Battery and Others

The OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, ensuring about the day of usage without frequent recharging. When it’s time to recharge, the 33W SUPERVOOC wired charging is available to refuel the battery.

For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac for internet browsing and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless pairing with other devices. Network connectivity is fast with support for 5G and LTE. It can house dual Nano SIM for using multiple networks at a time. For audio, it supports dual stereo speakers for an immense audio experience.

The OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G is equipped with various sensors, including ambient light, proximity, geomagnetic, gyroscope, gravity and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It is available in two colour options; Cyan Sparkle and Black Satin.
