Casualties from rain-induced disasters have reached 12 in Baglung district. In the last three days, 12 people died in the landslides that buried houses in various places in Baglung, while one person is still missing.
The District Police Office shared information that two persons died after a landslide buried their houses at Sipa of Tarakhola Rural Municipality-5. Dil Bahadur Pun, 55, and his mother-in-law, Narmaya Roka, 79, died in the house collapse, according to SP Phanindra Prasai.
Prasai said Pun’s wife, two sons, and daughter-in-law also sustained injuries in the landslide. A person died in the rain-induced disaster at Tarakhola on Saturday. Four others died, and one went missing in Tamankhola Rural Municipality in the district. Five people lost their lives in the disaster that occurred in Nisikhola Rural Municipality.
