Pokhara, August 9
As many as 12 families in Ribhan Pathegaun of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-5 of Kaski district have been displaced by a landslide.
A landslip at around 9 pm yesterday had destroyed their residences.
The displaced families include those of Devilal Lamichhane, Dinanath Paudel, Nara Bahadur Bishwakarma, Kaji Bishwakarma, Janga Bahadur Bishwakarma, Ganga Bahadur Bishwakarma, Dhanakaji Bishwakarma, Himlal Bhushal, Ganga Acharya, Chandra Bahadur Pariyar, Pravin Lamichhane and Prem Bahadur Bishwakarma.
One of the displaced, Devilal Lamichhane informs Onlinekhabar that they have been staying at a nearby open ground currently.
Though there was no any human casualty, the landslide buried a temple, a fishing pond, a poultry farm and a nursery, according to Lamichhane.
Police have already been informed, but they are yet to reach the incident site owing to obstruction caused by a flood.
