Sankhuwasabha, July 12
Eleven persons are missing after incessant rainfall triggered a landslide in Silichong rural municipality of Sankhuwasabha on Saturday night.
The District Police Office says it has mobilised a team to search the missing persons. However, the personnel have not reached the incident site yet.
DSP Nawaraj Malla of the DPO says, “The site is four hours away from the nearest police office. Detailed information will be shared only after the team from the Silichong police post reaches there.”
Eight houses have been buried by the landslide there.
Meanwhile, the rainfall has triggered rainfall in many other places of the district, and the officials are collecting details of the losses, according to him.
