Rajan Raj Pandey and a page of his performance appraisal form

Kathmandu, January 22

A senior official at the Ministry of Water Supply has accused Minister Bina Magar and Secretary Gajendra Thakur of taking bribes and making inappropriate decisions so as to serve their vested interests.

Rajan Raj Pandey, however, has not mentioned how much bribe Magar and Thakur took from whom, and how it affected their decision making.

In a semiannual performance appraisal form that he submitted to the Ministry recently, the official has reported that he was deprived of responsibilities at the Ministry for past five months despite being the most senior staffer in his group, just because he denied receiving bribes.

“I am certain that they did not give me any assignment because it would not serve their interests,” he explained his statement in an interview with Onlinekhabar, “Both the minister and the secretary are too corrupt. They are the most corrupt persons I have ever seen.”

Meanwhile, Secretary Thakur denied making any comment over the allegation.
