Kathmandu, October 9
National Reconstruction Authority’s Chief Executive Officer Sushil Gyewali says the Authority is mobilising senior engineers in all local units of the 2015 earthquake-affected region so as to give a momentum to the reconstruction of individual households.
He says the World Bank has agreed to fund salary and other benefits of such engineers.
Speaking with journalists in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Gyewali said the Authority was committed to completing all reconstruction works at the earliest.
He assured that the reconstruction of monuments with historical and archaeological significance, and buildings of academic and health institutions would not be delayed.
In another context, the top official said he had written a letter to the Nepal Rastra Bank requesting to release reconstruction grants easily.
