Nepal launches tourism website in Chinese

Nepal Tourism in Chinese

Kathmandu, May 21

The government has launched a new tourism website in Chinese language to make information on Nepal accessible the speakers of the language around the world.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong jointly inaugurated the website at a function organised in Kathmandu on Monday.

According to Minister Adhikari, the website was launched to serve the needs of Chinese coming to Nepal.

“The government wants to accelerate economic growth and we want tourism to contribute around 25 per cent to the GDP,” said Adhikari. Praising the contribution of China towards Nepal’s development, Minister Adhikari said, “To strengthen the China-Nepal relationship and lead the country towards prosperity, the government has prioritised welcoming Chinese tourists.”

Envoy Hong said that the Chinese government was committed to providing necessary support to Nepal.
