Kathmandu, May 16
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted that heavy rainfall in the Kathmandu Valley will continue for few more days.
The westerly wind and a low-pressure system in the north-east region are triggering the rainfall, according to meteorologist Subash Rimal.
“The impact of eastern low-pressure system was primarily seen in the central and eastern regions which are expected to bring changes in the weather pattern today,” said Rimal, adding, “Moisture from the surface of the Bay of Bengal also contributed to the weather change.”
The central, eastern and western parts of the country are expected to receive moderate rainfall today.
