This youth from Bara wants to give up Nepali citizenship

Bara, February 15

This youth won’t inspire those people, who believe they have a great future in Nepal.

Fed up of Nepali leaders, who have ‘ruined’ this country, Nasrullah Ansari (34) of Bisunpur-9, Bara, has taken steps to relinquish his Nepali citizenship by registering an application with the Bara district administration office, leave his hometown and shift to his wife’s maternal home in Bihar.

For five years, Ansari worked in Malaysia. “On my return to Nepal, I felt I and my children have no future here, so I decided not to stay on in Nepal,” Ansari says.

“Due to the growing political instability, our children are facing a bleak future. For a bright future of my family members, I have no option but to give up Nepali citizenship.”

After relinquishing Nepali citizenship, Ansari plans to live in Chhaudadano of Motihari district in Bihar.

“Nepal’s leaders are ruining this country for the sake of their petty interests. I will now shift to India as I and my family members will have a better future there. ”

On Sunday, he filed an application at the Bara DAO, demanding scrapping of his citizenship. Om Khadka, administration officer at the DAO, said they will probe into Ansari’s application and take necessary measures as per the law.

Ansari’s citizenship certificate shows he was born in Bisunpur-9, Bara, on Asoj 10, 2038 (September 26, 1981). He got the citizenship certificate numbered 1838/1408/1556 from Bara DAO on October 7, 1999.
