WordCamp Nepal 2026 to be held in Butwal on January 23–24

Kathmandu, January 21

Butwal will host WordCamp Nepal 2026 on January 23 and 24 at Manigram Bishram Batika, marking the first time the national WordPress conference is being organised in the Lumbini Province. Organisers say the event aims to expand WordPress knowledge and opportunities beyond Kathmandu and support Nepal’s growing digital economy.

According to the organisers, Butwal was selected due to its emergence as a technology and business hub and its proximity to major destinations such as Bhairahawa and Lumbini, which are expected to attract participants from the Tarai region as well as other parts of the country.

The two-day event will begin with Contributor Day on January 23, where participants will work in teams to directly contribute to the global WordPress project while gaining hands-on learning and collaboration experience. January 24 will feature the Conference Day, including expert talks, panel discussions, and practical workshops focused on new trends, best practices, and recent developments in WordPress.

WordCamp Nepal 2026 is expected to bring together WordPress enthusiasts, developers, designers, content creators, entrepreneurs, students, and users from across the country. Organisers say the conference will provide opportunities for learning, networking, community building, and career development, while also offering updates on the latest activities within the WordPress ecosystem.
