Kathmandu, September 30
Traffic along the Prithvi Highway is expected to return to normal from 1pm Wednesday, provided there are no further landslides or road obstructions.
The Dhading District Administration Office said Tuesday that efforts were underway to clear landslides and repair sections of the highway that were damaged or had subsided following continuous rainfall.
Currently, vehicles are operating on the affected sections on a one-way basis.
According to the administration, all types of vehicles will be allowed to operate along the Prithvi Highway from 1pm Wednesday if no further landslides or other obstructions occur.
Although the rain has stopped, the risk of landslides remains at several points along the highway, and the administration warned that landslides could occur at any time.
Authorities have urged drivers, passengers and the general public to travel with caution and strictly follow traffic rules and road safety guidelines.
