Kathmandu, August 27
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has expressed solidarity with the Nepali people following the devastating floods and inundation in Nepal.
In a message posted on X, Rubio said the United States stands with Nepal during the disaster and expressed his sympathy for those affected.
“Following the devastating floods, we stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal, and our prayers are with the Nepali people,” Rubio said.
He also said the US Department of State stands ready to assist the Government of Nepal with necessary humanitarian assistance during the crisis.
The floods have caused widespread damage in several parts of Nepal, with rescue and relief operations underway in the affected areas.
