Kathmandu, May 2
The CPN-UML and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party have decided to form an alliance for local level elections in Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities.
The parties have agreed to elect UML’s candidates as mayors and RPP’s as deputy mayors in both the cities.
The parties, however, are yet to announce their joint candidates.
RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa and leader Deepak Bohora joined a meeting of UML top leaders and forged the agreement this afternoon.
