Biratnagar, March 4
Two persons died when a tipper hit an auto-rickshaw in Biratnagar of Morang district on Tuesday night.
The victims have been identified as Baburam Sardar (45) and Sabita Sardar (6). Baburam was driving the auto-rickshaw (Province 1-002 Ha 8606) that the tipper (Ko 1 Kha 2917) hit. Sabita is the granddaughter of Baburam.
The tipper had hit the rickshaw head-on at Milanchok along the Biratnagar-Ghinaghat-Biratchok road section at 9:30 pm yesterday. Later, police arrested the tipper driver, Hareram Chaudhary, 33, a resident of Ramdhuni municipality-5 of Sunsari district, for further investigation.
Meanwhile, enraged locals torched the tipper after the incident.
