A tipper hit has killed two men in Dang causing unrest in the area.

Locals have blocked the roads and staged demonstrations after two young men died due to the tipper hit on Friday night.

After blocking the road and staging a protest, the police detained several relatives of the deceased.

The families of the deceased are holding a strike in Dang on Sunday, declaring that they will not claim the bodies until proper compensation is arranged and action is taken against the tipper driver.

Simultaneously, the police arrested Pramod Pokhrel, vice chairman of Jhimruk Rural Municipality in Pyuthan, along with Man Bahadur KC, ward chairman of Naubahini Rural Municipality-6, and Rajesh JC, the brother and uncle of the two deceased youths, as they attempted to block the road since Sunday morning.

A discussion between the tipper operator and the victims took place throughout the day on Saturday. Following unsuccessful negotiations, the aggrieved party issued a warning that they would block the Ghorahi-Tulsipur road section.
