Two held with 35 kg hashish

Kathmandu, June 27

Acting on a special tip-off, Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police on Monday arrested two people in Kapan, Kathmandu, while they were allegedly trying to smuggle 35 kg of hashish into Europe via India.

The two — Simon Tamang and Dhan Bahadur Tamang — were trying to smuggle the contraband by hiding it in the cover of a religious scripture, according to police. Police said they made the arrests after a monthlong investigation.
