One of the largest motorcycle and auto-rickshaw producers in India, TVS has a successful history in Nepal. Bikes such as TVS Raider, TVS Apache RTR, TVS RR310 and TVS Radeon, and scooters such as TVS Jupiter and TVS Zest are already one of the favourites in the list for Nepali people. Now, TVS is soon increasing its addition in Nepal with the release of its all-new modern cruiser bike, the TVS Ronin 225.
The bike has already been loved in India and is now much-awaited here in Nepal. It is set to be released by the end of 2023. The looks of the Ronin 225 are similar to some of the bikes available in the international market but the performance is completely different.

TVS Ronin 225 looks similar to other cruiser bikes in the global and local market like Triumph Bonneville 1100 and Yamaha FZ-X. The bike has a distinguishable headlight with a big “T” in the centre. It shows a modern-retro look with a very muscular tank.
TVS Ronin 225 has LED lights on the headlight, front and back indicators and brake light. The LED indicator lights are thin and give a very clean look. The headlight has daytime running lights giving the bike a shiny look even during the day. The rear tail light is curved and thin giving the retro look more meaning.
The bike has a golden-coloured suspension, which adds to its beauty. The chains on the bike are protected with the help of a sleek chain cover helping the chain and the parts covered to be safe. The exhaust has a beautiful design and a black colour with a comforting sound to the ears.
Performance, tyres, suspension and brakes
TVS Ronin 225 is powered by a 225.9CC single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve SOHC Fi engine. The engine is BS6 compliant which allows the bike to be a bit more environmentally friendly than the BS4 complaints. The engine on the bike produces a maximum power of 15.01kW at 7750rpm and a maximum torque of 19.93Nm at 3750rpm.
TVS Ronin 225 has a five-speed gearbox and a top speed of 120 kmph. The bike has a tank capacity of 14 litres and gives you an average of about 40 kmpl rounding you to 560 km on a full tank. The Ronin 225 is available with an assist and slipper clutch.
The bike has a 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 240 mm disc brake at the back. It has a single-channel ABS on the Ronin SS and DS options, which are the base models of the bike, and dual-channel ABS on the top variant Ronin TD. The tyre on the front is a 110/70 – 17 tubeless tyre and the back is a 130/70 – 17 tubeless tyre.
The suspension on the bike includes a 41 mm USD on the front and a mono-shock with a seven-step adjustable preload on the back. The frame on the bike is a double cradle split synchro stiff frame.
Display and features
TVS Ronin 225 has an asymmetric speedometer with unique placement and displays almost every information needed for the rider such as speed, distance covered, fuel indicator, modes and gear. The rain mode and urban ABS mode ensure superior braking during the rain or through packed urban roads.
The bike has GTT (glide through technology) which allows the rider to enjoy effortless low-speed riding in traffic. It can be engaged by releasing the clutch in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears enabling the bike to glide through without accelerating. The bike can be started with a simple light touch and minimal noise using the electric feature-touch ISG feature.
TVS Ronin 225’s top variant, Ronin TD, has many other features such as Smartxconnect which enables the rider’s phone to connect with the bike, voice assistant, incoming call alert, custom window notification and ride analysis using the TVS Connect app.
